I guess we can call this post a little tribute to Hans-Petter Lindstrøm. His music has kinda always been around us since we first got into electronic music. His collaborations or solo work has touched us in one way or another… He is just so good at what he does. The long buildups, the multiple layers, the vocals and just the overall feeling he gives us with his music! If we had to call it something, it would be Space Disco and at its very best…!
«Six Cups of Rebel» will be released on Smalltown Supersound, 6th of February. This is his fourth solo album, expect everything from this album. It’s a little out there, but in a very cool way… Organ meets house, disco, acid, funk and Detroit all melted into one amazing journey of an album.
What more can we say, we dig this talented Norwegian and we are looking forward to getting our hands on this album. If you happen to be in Oslo on Sat 4th of Feb. You will be able to catch him playing at Turkish Delight. Pssst! Vari and Dj Baz are warming up.
And to get you in the mood …

In the rapidly evolving scene of electronic music, there are few DJ’s that have seen the beginning, and even fewer that have maintained their position as forward thinking musicians over the last decades. It is without a doubt that Alain Ho aka DJ Yellow is among these select few. (Liberated from RA: ‘Biography of DJ Yellow’)… I couldn’t have said it better myself. ;-)
So yep this very talented gentleman has been around forever and we’re delighted to have him pop by the 20 for a chat. I had the pleasure of meeting and witnessing a DJ set from Mr Ho way back in 1999 or 2000 (I was a little teenage music munchkin) at the legendary Berlin Bar (Gold Coast, Australia), he was in town with his mate and partner in label crime (Yellow Productions) Bob Sinclar… ;-) Obviously so much has happened between then and now (like this lovely Hot Toddy remix), but let’s see what he’s been up to these days…
