A very talented Hamburger has made us two mixes, we will give you the first one today. Let you chew on it a bit then we will give you the next one soon :). Martin Broszeit born in 1972, Martin started spinning at the age of 17, he mainly focused on HipHop and HipHouse back then. Going under the name of DJ Phoenix and he soon became a regular guest in all of Hamburg’s top venues and events. Later on in 2001, together with production mate Chopstick (now Labelowner of Soul and Producer of Fritz Kalkbrenner), they formed “Smart System” and one of their tunes was placed on Tiesto’s “Nyana” compilation, two more tunes were signed by Germany’s House veteran Oliver Moldan.
The buzz made bigger labels become aware of the duo and eventually, one of Smart System’s remixes made it on top of the official German Dance Charts. Martin has really been around and he has supported most big names, there are too many to even fit in here. We found Martin through one of his mixes, and were instantly infatuated with his sound. As soon as you listen to this mix you will know what we are talking about. Dreamy, emotional close your eyes and dance music. Marin knows what he is doing. Enjoy!

Oslo based DJ Rune Opdahl has been so kind and made us two very hot exclusive mix tapes. And we totally dig them both, great selection of tunes. Rune plays regulary around Oslo and he also runs the very cool monthly club night Klub Kontakt at Internasjonalen/Oslo, where he teams up with guest DJs and plays uplifting, poppy house music. (Although the venue was bombed in the tragic terror attack on Friday, the party goes on, so if you’re in Oslo, be sure to check out the event this Saturday!). Rune is also arranging a new concept called Sommer Klubb at Blå Thursday 4th of August along with Alex & Celijus, M.N.D and me (Vari). I will be playing a chilled set outside to warm you slowly up for Rune and the boys in the club. Gotye aka Wally de Backer (Australia), released this wonderful track ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’ as the second single on his upcoming album Making Mirrors, which will be released on August 19. If you haven’t already heard about our very good friends, Hamburg’s LOVEGANG then today is the day to get the fuck up-to-date! ;-) Julia, Katja, Frank & Nadja are the four beautiful Germans that make this gang of loves heart beat! This gang is special (in every way), and it’s because of this, that putting this introduction together has been a bit tricky as we don’t want them to be seen as anything less than AMAZING!!! How did you start getting into producing your own music?
We did not start yet to produce music, but we will! It’s just a matter of time, after producing photos, music documentaries and Fashion…
How would you describe your sound?
It’s got the heart of 70s/80s Disco and Pop Music and the Soul of mid 90s R&B. Mixed with some Wave, Rave and Synth flavored champagne bubbles! Tasty! Try it! ;-)
What are you currently working on?
We just have been Djing at Tel Aviv’s Pride Parade! Amazing vibe over there… Amazing people too! Mid July we’ll have a Berlin excursion with our little stepbaby ‘Kann denn Liebe Synthie sein?’ as an exhibition of Katja’s Synthesizer stills at Achteinhalb Concept Store and followed by a party in beginning September with wonderful guests. Mid August we’ll be Djing and hosting at the Dockville Festival next to Hamburg.
What new projects are in store for 2011?

We love our logo, it’s all about Lovegang, it can’t be better! So we’re working on a fashion collection with the logo too!
